Dr. Walter Veith - False Prophets on the Loose in Adventist BC Conf: "Veith Sacked", "Obama Prophecy", and the Work of the Arch-Deceiver

ON THE MOVE

Pastor Ken David Naidoo came to Canada in 2003 from South Africa, where he had worked as an Adventist pastor for 13 years. http://www.nadadventist.org/family/pdfs/2004.Canadian.Thanksgiving.doc

He came to the Westminster Adventist Church in Burnaby, British Columbia, and started preaching and teaching. Brother Naidoo can speak well when he wants to, but sometimes says things which embarrass not just himself, but also his congregations.

So they sent him off to the hinterlands. Now he has a four-church district on Vancouver Island. His new parishioners are decent people, and gospel work is important no matter where the field of labor is located.

DOESN'T WANT TO LEAVE THE LOWER MAINLAND

But Brother Naidoo began to chafe under the relative isolation. Surely there was something he could do to get noticed.

He kept his ears open, and watched carefully for that golden opportunity.

"the rubbish of false doctrine obstructed the work." (Ellen White, The Great Controversy, p 56)

And then one day it came. From his base of operations in Surrey, Pastor Naidoo was able to pass on important information to the BC Conference HQ:

"Hi Elder Pifher

Greetings. I have some breaking news from South Africa. Walter Veith has been sacked from Pastoral Ministry"

"For presuming to disregard the pope's authority, this monarch was declared to be excommunicated and dethroned." (Ellen White, The Great Controversy, p 57)

"because of his heavy emphasis and indoctrination in his preaching about the Jesuits and Free Masons. In addition making other predictions namely: that some disaster will occur with devastating consequences in America to Obama before the election if not it would occur during his first term as President. This was the prophecy."

For years, most Adventist theologians have longed for the day when the humble servant of the Lord would just shut up.

Dr. Veith is running around the globe with his slideshows. A lot of his material is sourced, and his arguments against sins like ecumenism are difficult to just shrug off. Not to mention those DVDs that have torqued so many an Adventist pastor.

And now Pastor Naidoo had the opportunity to give the all-clear signal. The humble servant had been slapped down. Said Naidoo.

And wasted no time in getting the word out to Gordon Pifher, president of the Seventh-day Adventist Church (British Columbia Conference). http://www.bcadventist.com/article.php?id=20

Hot, breaking news -- from the outback. Surely it would be time to move the bringer of good tidings back to the Lower Mainland. Or even better, why not the HQ in Abbotsford?

There was just one little problem with Mr. Naidoo's glad tidings -- they were false:

25 "I have heard what the prophets say who prophesy lies in my name. They say, 'I had a dream! I had a dream!' 26 How long will this continue in the hearts of these lying prophets, who prophesy the delusions of their own minds? 27 They think the dreams they tell one another will make my people forget my name, just as their fathers forgot my name through Baal worship. 28 Let the prophet who has a dream tell his dream, but let the one who has my word speak it faithfully. For what has straw to do with grain?" declares the LORD. 29 "Is not my word like fire," declares the LORD, "and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?

30 "Therefore," declares the LORD, "I am against the prophets who steal from one another words supposedly from me. 31 Yes," declares the LORD, "I am against the prophets who wag their own tongues and yet declare, 'The LORD declares.' 32 Indeed, I am against those who prophesy false dreams," declares the LORD. "They tell them and lead my people astray with their reckless lies, yet I did not send or appoint them. They do not benefit these people in the least," declares the LORD. Jeremiah 23

Sure he dreamed his dream. But it was all a "delusion of his own mind".

The Lord has a problem with this. He doesn't like it when false prophets "lead my people astray with their reckless lies".

BUT SUPPOSEDLY IT WAS ALL FOR A GOOD PURPOSE

So was Prophet Naidoo putting out his false prophecy for some malicious reason?

Not according to him. It was all so that:

"In the area of Creation and Evolution, he has made an invaluable contribution to our church. I hope he can repent of his mistakes so that he can be used of God in a more powerful way to win souls with the Gospel for the Kingdom of Jesus."

Wow! Time for Brother Veith to get in repentance mode. Sure he's one of the top Adventist evangelists in South Africa, but if he could just repent, think of all he could do!

SO STAND DOWN AND REPENT!

Yes, Professor Veith, time to repent of going against the grain. Hang it up, brother. You leave all those quotation slides at home. And quite making all those gestures while you speak! The pastorate out there is sincerely tired of your practice of quoting Sister White and all those Bible texts!!

"Satan well knew that the Holy Scriptures would enable men to discern his deceptions and withstand his power. It was by the Word that even the Saviour of the world had resisted his attacks. At every assault, Christ presented the shield of eternal truth, saying, "It is written." To every suggestion of the adversary, he opposed the wisdom and power of the Word." (Ellen White, The Great Controversy, p 51)

SO FOR THESE PEOPLE, THE BIBLE IS A BURDEN

HEY YOU, DR. VEITH, QUIT ROCKING THE BOAT!!

In short, just stand down. The BRI crew is tired of doing pseudo-scientific papers to disprove you. Its a lot of work to put together a full smear job, and then so disappointing to see that it just didn't work.

"To establish this claim, some means must be employed to give it a show of authority; and this was readily suggested by the father of lies. Ancient writings were forged" (Ellen White, The Great Controversy, p 56)

HOW DID KEN NAIDOO GET HIS "DREAM"?

Our Adventist brother knew his message would be of interest to HQ:

"Thank you for your unflinching stance you have taken in raising your concern about this aspect of his teaching and preaching. As you know very well most of us pastors are deeply troubled by the divisions this emphasis has caused in our churches.

This news should put an end to the division and discord amongst our churches and members “so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ”. Rom 15:6"

Ah, Brother Pifher had raised his concerns about Dr. Veith's ministry in "secret councils".

"In their secret councils, Satan and his angels controlled the minds of evil men, while unseen in the midst stood an angel of God, taking the fearful record of their iniquitous decrees, and writing the history of deeds too horrible to appear to human eyes. "Babylon the great" was "drunken with the blood of the saints."" (Ellen White, The Great Controversy, pp 59-60)

And those pastors were glad to hear the message. Brother Veith's teaching has brought division:

34“Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword! 35I came to turn ‘a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. 36 A person's enemies will include members of his own family.’ Matthew 10

And now the humble servant of the Lord is getting to know how this works. He's a member of the Great Adventist Family. An ordained minister. And his enemies "include members of his own family".

"Today this Scripture has been fulfilled" Luke 4:21

Wow! We need to thank Pastor Ken Naidoo for bringing about a fulfillment of Scripture. And in our day!!

"Now were fulfilled the words of Jesus, "Ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake." [Luke 21:16, 17.]" (Ellen White, The Great Controversy, p 54)

Yes, friends, Brother Naidoo had hoped that his news message would bring about great rejoicing at the BC Conference HQ! Now it was peace and safety from that mean South African professor!!!

5 Then the prophet Jeremiah spoke to the prophet Hananiah in the presence of the priests and in the presence of all the people who were standing in the house of the LORD, 6 and the prophet Jeremiah said, “Amen! May the LORD do so; may the LORD confirm your words which you have prophesied to bring back the vessels of the LORD’S house and all the exiles, from Babylon to this place. 7 “Yet hear now this word which I am about to speak in your hearing and in the hearing of all the people! 8 “The prophets who were before me and before you from ancient times prophesied against many lands and against great kingdoms, of war and of calamity and of pestilence. 9 “The prophet who prophesies of peace, when the word of the prophet comes to pass, then that prophet will be known as one whom the LORD has truly sent.” Jeremiah 28

But it didn't come to pass. Because Mr. Naidoo's "dream" was not from the Lord.

He said to them, "You are from below, I am from above. You are of this world, but I am not of this world. John 8:23

But wait a minute. Doesn't Mr. Naidoo claim to be operating "in His service"?

Dear Dr Veith

My sincere and deepest apology to you for passing incorrect information about your Ministerial status. It was wrong of me to do that.

Martin Bredenkamp a fellow South African has passed information that you have been sacked out of ministry because of your views on Jesuits and Freemasons and a prediction you made about US President Elect Barack Obama.

Word was also mentioned that Adventists in Germany have rejected you because of these views.

Martin is a science professor in one of our prestigious universities and I am deeply shocked that he cooked up a story of this magnitude. I received this information about you two weeks ago and got a confirmation yesterday November 26 that it was a truth yet it was false. I would like to apologize to you about this.

I know that this is very disappointing to you, Wenzel & Dagmar and Colin & Helga Owen and am extremely embarrassed and ashamed for believing his story. I will certainly correct this with all those I have passed this information. I trust that you will find it in your heart to forgive me. I know you are a humble and respectable man.

Our Adventist brother Naidoo had sincerely hoped that Dr. Veith could repent and shut up.

What? Really? And now Pastor Naidoo is "extremely embarrassed and ashamed".

But he apologized, and now everything is cool?

No, the system hasn't changed. Lightweight pastors and little-league theologians don't want to do the work to keep up with Brother Veith's standard.

"Through half-converted pagans, ambitious prelates, and world-loving churchmen, he [Satan] accomplished his purpose." (Ellen White, The Great Controversy, p 55)

Dr. Veith hasn't come up with very much that is new. He's just studied things carefully, and made an interesting, reasonably documented presentation. And spent his life getting his presentations and slides together.

The humble servant is a brilliant speaker. And now with the power of the internet and DVD technology, his presentations are going worldwide. Which makes life really tough for those pastors who were getting canned sermons off the internet, or out of books.

Brother Naidoo wouldn't have sent his email off to Brother Pifher if the topic hadn't been discussed previously.

Our Adventist brother Naidoo says he is embarrassed and repentant.

That's a start. Now he just needs to empty some feather pillows, and gather all the feathers again:

"A woman one day said something that hurt her best friend. She regretted it immediately, and would have done anything to have taken the words back. But they were said, impulsively, in a moment of thoughtlessness, and as close as she and her friend were, she didn’t consider the effects of her words before hand.

In her effort to undo what she had done, she went to an older, wiser woman in the village. Explaining her situation, and asked for advice. The older woman listened patiently in an effort to determine just how sincere the younger woman was, how far she was willing to go to correct the situation.

The wise women said, “There are two things needed to do to make amends. The first of the two is extremely difficult. Tonight, take your best feather pillows, and open a small hole in each one. Then, before the sun rises, you must put a single feather on the doorstep of each house in town. When you are through, come back to me. Just as the sun rose, she returned to the older woman. She was exhausted, but relieved that her efforts would be rewarded. “My pillows are empty. I placed a feather on the doorstep of each home.”

Now, said the wise woman, “Go back and refill your pillows. Then everything will be as it was before.”

The young woman was stunned. “You know that’s impossible! The wind blew away each feather as fast as I placed them on the doorsteps! You didn’t say I had to get them back! If this is the second requirement, then things will never be the same.”

“That’s true”, said the older woman, “Never forget. Each of your words is like a feather in the wind. Once spoken, no amount of effort, regardless how heartfelt or sincere, can ever return them to your mouth. Choose your words well, and guard them most of all in the presence of those you love.”"
